Throughout the world, the Pontifical Mission Societies support the proclamation of the Gospel, the building of churches, and the work and witness of mission priests, religious Sisters and Brothers, and lay pastoral leaders. Our primary task is evangelization, intent on preaching the word of God and building the universal Church in the spirit of our founder, French lay woman Pauline Jaricot, who encourage her friends to pray daily and donate weekly to the Church in the peripheries.

Star of the Sea Ministries spreads the Good News of God’s personal love to today’s families through multi-media channels, such as books, a diary blog, a radio show and speaking engagements based on family values and Catholic faith. The practicality of the Gospel frees us up to receive God’s joy through the Holy Spirit even in the chaos of everyday life. There is something here for everyone; support for parents raising families strong in faith, engaging messages for children that build confidence, and radio podcasts on current topics directed towards teens and young adults. Hand drawn colorful illustrations by David Peter Campbell bring the books and messages to life, showing the love and intergenerational bonds that strengthen family relationships.
